I approach everyone with warmth, curiosity, acceptance, and intelligence

I’m a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor working from my practice in South Yarra and online. I have substantial experience working across cultures, genders, and presentations with people from young adulthood to older age. A passionate advocate for mental wellbeing, I also work in a private addictions treatment hospital and have previously worked helping people cope with the impact of family violence.

I am genuinely interested in others and pride myself on creating an environment where my clients can feel comfortable enough to reflect and explore

I believe in providing a safe space and a safe relationship where clients feel comfortable

As we get to know each other we’ll collaborate on your goals and agree on the focus of our work. You’ll then find I maintain a confidential, collaborative and supportive practice that’s strengths-based and trauma-informed.

People will tell you I approach everyone with warmth, acceptance, curiosity and intelligence. From the outset, I extend to you the utmost respect and empathy without any judgement or preconception as we discuss the reasons that bring you to therapy.

Taking a client-centred perspective, I will be curious about both conscious and unconscious factors and how they influence your feelings, thoughts and behaviours. And I’ll use my knowledge of neuroscience and the body to heighten your awareness and understanding of what’s happening on the inside, giving you greater choice and control.

I find clients get the most out of sessions by being actively involved – using our time together to self-reflect, deepen awareness, and develop new skills. A lot more work can be done outside of sessions too, where you can reflect on what we’ve examined and try out new experiences.
